Michael Potstada June 8, 1954 - Mar. 2, 2013 Resident of Bay Area On the evening of March 2, 2013 Michael passed away at age 58. He will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Samantha and Christina and his brothers, George (Leanne) and Mark. Also survived by his former wife, Kathy, 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Preceeded in death by his brother, Carl.

Michael, was born in Oakland, CA to the late Carl and Mary Potstada. He spent his younger years in Oakland attending Saint Elizabeth's and graduating from Oakland High, later attending Sacramento State and the University of San Francisco. Mike's adventures took him many places, he was a free spirit. At one point, he managed a restaurant in Bear Valley, later becoming a deputy sheriff, and then joining the operating engineers.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of his Life on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at River Cities Funeral Chapel, 910 Soule St., West Sacramento, CA. Memorials may be offered to your local food bank in Michael's name.
